DIY Bridesmaid Box

DIY Day 8

It's time to pop the question! Well, it's time to pop another question. Once you have agreed to spend the rest of your life with that special someone, it's time to propose to your bridesmaids! Is it a given that they will be by your side on the big day? Yes. Do you want to spoil them anyway? Of course!

Bridesmaid Proposal Box

Bridesmaid proposal boxes are a bit of a new trend and we love them! What a better way to kick off this exciting time in your life and involve your closest friends, than with a box of wedding-themed (or not) goodies! It's likely very early on in the planning process for you so this is a great opportunity to test out different colours and themes and see what sticks! Have you been pinning farmhouse wedding inspiration for months? Now's the time to test out some rustic colours and textures before the wedding planning get's serious! You can personalise any of our Save The Date cards to use as bridesmaid proposal cards (they're the perfect size) and if you love them, it's likely that you'll be pleased with the matching wedding invitations and day-of stationery!

Love the idea of a bridesmaid proposal box but not quite sure what to include in yours? Not to worry, we have a few ideas for you! First thing's first - the box! We got these simple wood boxes at a local craft store but you can also order something similar online. If you're mailing them to your bridesmaids, you probably want something with a cover but if you're going to hand deliver them, you could use a rustic wine crate or any open box or basket. We like the idea of choosing one element and building the rest of the goodies around it. In this case, we first chose a card rich in greenery, (we adapted our Forest Whisper Wedding invitations), and then chose items loosely related to this green theme. We opted for green nail polish, green tea, a green leaf pin and a cocktail kit (not green at all, but necessary nonetheless). Just remember, the question is the important part so have fun and don't beat yourself up over the contents the box!
