DIY wedding confetti packs

DIY confetti packets

The confetti throw is a must-have shot for your wedding photo album, as this moment epitomises the joy of you and your guests at your wedding! We, therefore, couldn’t resist showing you how to vamp up your confetti.

Traditionally, guests throw rice over the newlyweds to symbolise prosperity and we think that it is still a great eco-friendly/ biodegradable option, so use these simple DIY confetti packs to distribute the rice on the day!

It couldn’t be easier to make these confetti packs, as you can simply fold a piece of crystal or kraft paper to create a little packet, pour in a handful of rice and then stick down the flap with one of our beautiful wedding stickers

Pick the stickers that best match your theme, colour scheme and on-the-day stationery. We opted for our “The Botanist” wedding stickers to add a tropical touch to our DIY confetti packets.

Succulent table decorations

If you still haven’t decided on your wedding centrepieces or are looking for some creative place cards, we have the perfect idea for you!

Get your hands on some stunning succulents or even fragrant pots of lavender and then add one of our wedding favour gift tags to tie them into your wedding theme or colour scheme. Stick your tags onto cocktail sticks to pop them into the pot of your plants, or tie the tags around the plant pots using some rustic twine or colourful ribbon. Could it be any easier?

Miniature plants will also make great DIY wedding favours, and adding names to the gift tags will have your favours double up as place cards!

We chose our Daphné wedding favour tags for this DIY and our internal photographer lent us the collection of miniature succulents usually found on her desk.

DIY soap wedding favours

Feeling creative? Why not treat your guests to handmade soaps as your wedding favours? They are sure to love this practical gift and you can make soaps that tie in perfectly with your colour scheme and theme. We found this great recipe online for DIY marbled scented soap that is sure to wow your guests.

Alternatively, you will find a selection of beautiful soaps on the highstreet. For this DIY, we must admit that we cheated, as we fell in love with these marbled soaps from Dose de Sens, an organic shop just around the corner from our office here in Nantes, France.

Once you have sorted the soap, you can affix each bar to one of our personalised note cards with the help of some double-sided sticky tape. That way you can add a little thank you note directly to your favours or even add your guests’ names to create unique soap place cards.

We hope that these wedding DIY tips take some of the stress out of the last details of your big day and we hope that you both have an amazing wedding!
